St Barbara Limited finished FY26 with A$475 million of total cash, no debt and a A$490 million statutory profit after the Lingbao Gold transaction, prompting a fully franked five-cent dividend and consideration of a buyback of up to 100 million shares. The shares surged 20.3%, although almost all the reported profit came from a one-off deconsolidation gain and the remaining business was still loss-making on an underlying basis.
