Palo Alto-based Obsidian Security has secured an $85 million Series D led by Crescent Cove Advisors, turning the enterprise cybersecurity company into a unicorn. The financing gives Obsidian more runway to expand AI-agent governance, but its $1.1 billion valuation will ultimately depend on whether runtime controls can become a repeatable enterprise security standard.
