FuriosaAI raises $620m at $2.9bn valuation as RNGD challenges NVIDIA in enterprise AI inference
South Korea's FuriosaAI has closed a $620 million Series D funding round at a $2.9 billion post-money valuation, securing capital to increase production of its RNGD AI inference accelerator and develop a third-generation chip with Broadcom. Deployments involving Samsung SDS, LG Group and Upstage provide an initial commercial foundation, while power efficiency, software compatibility and production scale will determine its ability to compete with established GPU suppliers.
