MaxiPARTS has completed its acquisition of commercial vehicle braking specialist Air Brake Systems, bringing a A$20 million revenue business into its distribution network and forecasting significant earnings benefits from sales expansion and supply-chain integration.

MaxiPARTS has received a conditional A$2.50-per-share cash proposal from Ares Management Asia while simultaneously agreeing to buy Air Brake Systems for A$11.2 million. The takeover price stands 46% above MaxiPARTS' September 2 close, while shareholders would also retain the previously declared 5.46-cent final dividend if the proposal develops into a binding scheme on the indicated terms.
