Grand Paris Express project: €36.1bn cost, 200km metro network, Line 18 opening and 2031 completion timeline
Grand Paris Express is building four automated metro lines around the French capital as part of a roughly 200km network with 68 stations. Line 18 is approaching the first opening of an entirely new line in late 2026, while construction, systems integration and commissioning across the wider programme are scheduled to continue through 2031.
