Georgia Power gets approval for OpenAI’s 3.2 GW load as large customers support $950m annual savings
Georgia Power’s contract to serve OpenAI’s 3,200 MW Effingham County project has been approved, with OpenAI funding its infrastructure and providing up to 1,000 MW of flexible demand as large-load revenue is projected to support about $950 million of annual customer savings from 2029.
