Duralex rescue preserves 155 jobs as €16m plan targets lower energy costs
A French commercial court has selected entrepreneur Cédric Meston's Tomé group to rescue Duralex, preserving 155 of roughly 220 jobs at the historic glassmaker. The €16 million plan gives the company another chance after its worker cooperative entered receivership, but survival now depends on reducing an energy burden that consumes close to one-fifth of revenue.
