Suzlon Group has bagged an order from Adani Green Energy to develop a 48.3MW wind farm in Mandvi, Kutch district, Gujarat.
As per the contract, Suzlon Group will supply and install 23 wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a hybrid lattice tubular (HLT) tower. Each of the turbines of the Mandvi wind farm in Gujarat will have capacity of 2.1MW.
Ashwani Kumar — Suzlon Group CEO said “We believe that Suzlon is an evident choice for our stakeholders and customers because our products are customized for a variety of Indian wind regimes backed by our service offerings.
“In our pursuit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Suzlon wind turbines typically have 70%-80% domestic content and are manufactured in India through a thriving domestic value chain.”
Suzlon Group will implement the wind farm with a scope of supply, installation, and commissioning. Apart from that, the Indian renewable energy solutions provider will provide post-commissioning operation and maintenance services.
The wind power project in Mandvi is likely to begin operations next year.
According to Suzlon Group, the contract is a repeat order from Adani Green Energy and adds to the existing order of 226.8MW as announced in August 2021.

Earlier this month, Suzlon Group won a contract from the Aditya Birla Group to develop 144.9MW wind farms in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
