Sterling and Wilson wins order from NTPC REL for 300MWac solar project
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWRE) announced the notification of award for a 300 MWac Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project. This project is to be commissioned by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) and is strategically located at Khavda RE Power Park, Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The comprehensive Contract Price, encompassing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for a duration of three years, amounts to INR 1,535 crore, inclusive of taxes.
In a remarkable feat, this marks the third consecutive order secured by SWRE from NTPC REL in a span of just over a year. The 300 MWac project seamlessly integrates with the company’s existing ventures, positioning it between the first two successful projects. Formal contract signing procedures are anticipated to follow soon.
Expressing his elation, Amit Jain, Global CEO of Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, emphasized the significance of this partnership. He stated, “We are delighted to win and partner again with NTPC Renewable Energy. The continued partnership further demonstrates the trust and leadership of SWRE’s project management capabilities and global expertise. The new order win of 300 MWac complements our existing portfolio of ~2.47 GWac currently under execution for NTPC REL in Khavda and helps us leverage the low module price environment globally.”
Amit Jain further elaborated on SWRE’s impressive year-to-date order booking, which has surpassed the INR 3,100 crore milestone. He conveyed his confidence in the robust domestic order pipeline and the company’s commitment to exceeding FY 2023 order booking targets. With over a decade of dominance in the domestic market, SWRE is well-poised to deliver top-notch renewable solutions that contribute to sustainability and have a positive global impact. SWRE remains dedicated to fostering growth and innovation on its journey towards a sustainable future.
