Specialty Drilling Holding acquires Colorado-based Authentic Drilling

In a strategic move marking its rapid growth trajectory, Specialty Drilling Holding Company LLC (SDHC), a portfolio company under the Kalbot Holding Company LLC umbrella, has clinched the acquisition of Authentic Drilling. This acquisition fortifies Specialty Drilling Holding’s presence in the geotechnical and environmental drilling sectors, especially in the challenging terrains of the Western U.S.

Authentic Drilling, headquartered in colorful Colorado, boasts a vast operational footprint spanning the Southwestern, Western, and Northwestern U.S. The firm is acclaimed for its expert drilling services across multifaceted domains, such as renewable energy, water, infrastructure, and mining exploration. Their sterling reputation for navigating tricky access drilling projects sets them apart, complemented by a seasoned workforce adept at managing intricate and demanding assignments.

Specialty Drilling Holding, the brainchild of Kalbot Holding Company, was inaugurated in 2022 as a vanguard platform dedicated to bankrolling Western U.S.-based entities specializing in intricate drilling and ancillary services. These services are pivotal for the preservation and enhancement of critical infrastructure, be it terrestrial, aquatic, or subsurface. Authentic’s acquisition emerges as Specialty Drilling Holding’s second significant venture, following their successful acquisition of Holocene Drilling in April 2022.
