Specialty coffee company NuZee strikes manufacturing partnership with Farmer Bros

Farmer Bros. Co. (Farmer Brothers) has entered into an agreement to allow NuZee (doing business as Coffee Blenders), a US specialty coffee company, to use its manufacturing capacity.

The partnership will enable NuZee in its continued efforts to roll out its coffee and tea products in the US.

Farmer Brothers is a coffee roaster, wholesaler, and distributor of coffee, tea, and culinary products.

The agreement will let NuZee have up to 50 co-packing machines in Farmer Brothers’ 500,000 square foot facility in Northlake, Texas.

The machines will eventually have the capacity to have a production of up to 300 million single serve tea bags, coffee pouches, and pour over drip cups.

The combination of Farmer Brothers’ manufacturing and distribution capability and NuZee’s technical expertise and products which have demand in Asia, the partnership is expected to speed up the scale-up in the US. Besides, it will enable efficient delivery of NuZee’s products to coffee firms and branded businesses.

Farmer Brothers’ facility in Northlake is said to be strategically located to nearby shipping ports and major distribution routes. This will enable efficient movement of inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods for the two firms.
