Soylent forges partnership with US food redistributor Dot Foods

Soylent Nutrition has forged a partnership with US food redistributor Dot Foods under which its 14-oz ready-to-drink products have been rolled out to the latter’s nearly 4,500 distribution customers, who serve foodservice, retail, supermarket, and convenience sales channels.

To meet consumer demand and rapid company growth, Soylent said that it has partnered with Dot Foods to make its products more readily available.

Dot Foods will immediately increase Soylent’s availability across a range of retail and foodservice channels and offer a more flexible ordering system to customers, and give operational support and efficiencies to further advance the growth of the company.

Melody Conner – SVP of Sales at Soylent said: “We’re on a mission to make complete, sustainable nutrition accessible, appealing, and affordable to all. As more consumers strive to balance demanding work, school and family schedules, we want to ensure they can access complete, nutritious options everywhere.

Soylent said that it has continued to get success in conventional brick-and-mortar retail, convenience channels, and foodservice, after moving beyond e-commerce in early 2018.

Its alliance with Dot Foods follows its national expansion with retail giant Walmart, which made Soylent available across thousands of its stores. Owing to the demand for the product, its availability increased from 400 Walmart stores to 4,378 within a year.

Eric Peters – Senior Business Development Manager at Dot Foods said: “Dot is committed to helping our business partners succeed and we are very excited to see this partnership with Soylent grow their reach—bringing these products to our customers.”

Dot Foods’ vast nationwide network is expected to make it easier for retail and convenience stores, from legacy retailers to local chains to family-owned convenience stores, to provide affordable, healthier, and accessible on-the-go snacks and meals to meet consumer demand.
