In its recent financial disclosure, Som Distilleries and Breweries Ltd. has revealed a commendable surge in Q2 FY 23-24, with net sales catapulting to Rs.248.0 crores. This figure represents a whopping 67.7% increase compared to Rs.147.9 crores during the same period the previous year.
The company’s profitability indicators also echoed this upward trend. The Profit Before Tax (PBT) for Q2 FY 23-24 soared to Rs.19.3 crores, marking an 88% growth from Rs.10.3 crores in Q2 FY 22-23. Similarly, Profit After Tax (PAT) for this quarter climbed to Rs.14.9 crores, up by 80% from Rs.8.3 crores in the preceding year.
Casting light on its half-yearly performance, Som Distilleries has yet again made its mark in the brewery landscape. The net sales for 1H FY 23-24 touched Rs.634.6 crores, witnessing a rise of 57.1% from Rs.404 crores during the same six-month window last year.
From a profitability standpoint, the first half of the fiscal year remained robust. The PBT for 1H FY 23-24 reached Rs.62.0 crores, up by nearly 62% from the earlier Rs.38.4 crores. Furthermore, the PAT for this period ascended to Rs.48.5 crores, indicating a 43% growth, compared to Rs.33.9 crores in Q2 FY 22-23.
