Solstad Offshore wins $156m contracts for three construction vessels

Solstad Offshore ASA has bagged contract awards for three subsea construction vessels (CSV) with a combined time charter value of around NOK 1.6 billion ($156.4 million).

The Norwegian offshore service and supply ship shipping company has won the contracts for Normand Vision, Normand Ocean, and Normand Pioneer construction vessels.

Normand Vision has won a new contract from Havfram AS for a three-year firm period along with an option for a couple of more years. The contract will begin in January 2024 in direct continuation of the current agreement with Havfram, said the Norwegian shipping firm.

Solstad Offshore has won both an extension and a new contract for the Normand Ocean subsea construction vessel from DeepOcean AS for a two-year firm period from January 2024. There is also an option for an additional year after that in direct continuation of an existing contract with DeepOcean.

On the other hand, the Normand Pioneer construction vessel has been issued a letter of intent for a contract with a major energy player in South America for a 14-month period plus an option for an additional one year. The contract will begin this month, said Solstad Offshore.
