Slashdot Media, BIZX merger : Slashdot Media, a communications technology company, has merged with digital-media and big data company BIZX in a move to create a major provider of B2B, software, technology, and data.

The enlarged company, headquartered in San Diego, California, will operate as Slashdot Media. It will offer B2B software buying tools, open source software development solutions, performance marketing and demand generation advertising services, and technology comparison.

Commenting on Slashdot Media, BIZX merger, Logan Abbott – Chief Operating Officer of Slashdot Media, said: “The combination of Slashdot Media’s massive global audience, deep expertise in big data, and storied history in the internet technology marketing landscape with BIZX’s innovative technology and services comparison-shopping engines will create a powerhouse in the B2B software, technology, and big data arenas.”

Slashdot Media will continue to operate web brands like SourceForge.net and Slashdot.org, while adding a portfolio of popular technology and telecommunications comparison-shopping sites like VoipReview.org and Wirefly.com from the media properties owned by BIZX.

The enlarged Slashdot Media brands are expected to reach more than 40 million viewers monthly.
