Six Flags Entertainment, a regional theme park company, has inaugurated a new attraction at its Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord water park in Concord, California in the form of Splashwater Island – a new water play area.
Claimed to be the biggest new attraction in the Concord water park, Splashwater Island comprises over 100 interactive sprayers, water jets and geysers.
According to Six Flags Entertainment, the addition of the water play structure is the next phase of the overall transformation of the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord water park and its rebranding.
Commenting on the opening of Splashwater Island at the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord water park, is president Don McCoy, said: “As a world-renowned leader in thrills and innovation, Six Flags has taken this park to the next level with the new Splashwater Island.
“Our guest experience is greatly enhanced by all the new improvements, brightly painted waterslides, and fun, whimsical theming we’ve added all around the park.”
The new multi-dimensional, tropical, interactive water play structure has 100+ water play features to choose from apart from an interactive maze of different platforms and net structures.
Splashwater Island at the Concord water park also boasts of dozens of spouting geysers, spraying fountains, jets, and waterfalls, to go along with nine open and enclosed slides with 600ft of sliding.
Also a part of the new water play structure is a giant tipping bucket that drenches its guests completely.
Currently, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Concord water park has 35 plus attractions. Included in these are a large wave pool, a long lazy river, and high-thrill attractions such as Break Point Plunge and the Big Kahuna.
