Simplicity Esports and Gaming acquires majority stake in two gaming centers in US

Simplicity Esports and Gaming Company has acquired a majority stake in two US gaming centers, expanding its corporate-owned retail footprint in the country.

The fan-friendly gaming centers located at Redmond Town Center Mall in Redmond, Washington and Clackamas Town Center Mall in Happy Valley, Oregon, represent a 3,000 and 2,400 ft2 of retail space, respectively.

Opened in 2015, the locations are claimed to be Simplicity Esports and Gaming’s largest corporate-owned gaming centers and together consist of more than 50 Xbox gaming stations and over 30 multipurpose tabletop game seats.

The two centers, which offer concessions, gaming merchandise, and accessories, together recorded more than 40,000 gaming hours as well as over 350 birthday and corporate parties in 2018.

Roman Franklin – president, Simplicity Esports and Gaming said: “I am excited to announce we have acquired majority stakes in the Redmond Town Center and Clackamas Town Center gaming centers.

“The third and fourth corporate owned gaming centers keep us on track to meet our prior stated goal of 20 corporate owned locations by year end 2020.

“With marginal capital improvements and minimal reconfiguration of the stores, we will be adding 24 new gaming computer stations to better prepare the centers for upcoming national tournaments, as we further integrate our esports strategy into our existing footprint.”

Simplicity Esports and Gaming, a North American esports firm, competes and streams in games across different genres, including PUBG, Fortnite, League of Legends, Overwatch, Gears of War, Smite, and multiple EA Sports titles.
