SilverTree acquires university administration software vendor Thesis
SilverTree Equity, a UK-based private equity firm, has acquired Thesis, a US-based cloud-based university administration software provider, from Advent International, for an undisclosed amount.
Thesis offers student information management solutions for colleges and universities to manage their student processes from registration to graduation.
Under the agreement, Thesis has received funding from SilverTree Equity to accelerate the former’s investments in product and talent as well as to position the software company as a major SaaS student management provider in the UK, the US, and Canada.

The investment from SilverTree Equity is anticipated to further support the launch and adoption of Thesis Elements, a next gen cloud offering for small and mid-size higher education institutions in Canada and the US.
In addition, the investment is anticipated to push the technological advancement of Thesis SM, a cloud solution for mid and large colleges and universities in the UK, the US and Canada.
