Shree Cement expands portfolio with launch of Bangur Concrete in Hyderabad

Shree Cement Limited has made a significant move in the construction industry by inaugurating its first Greenfield Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) plant in Hyderabad, under the brand name Bangur Concrete. The ceremony, led by Shree Cement’s Chairman Shri HM Bangur, marks the company’s ambitious entry into the RMC business, with the new plant boasting a production capacity of 90 cubic meters per hour. This strategic expansion aligns with Shree Cement’s vision of evolving into a diversified player within the core cement sector.

Earlier this month, Shree Cement enhanced its footprint in the RMC market by acquiring five operational plants of StarCrete LLP in Mumbai, amounting to a deal worth Rs 33.5 crore. With these acquisitions, the company’s total RMC capacity has escalated to 512 cubic meters per hour, signifying a robust entry into a promising business line.

“Driven by our core philosophy of ‘Build Smart’, Shree Cement is firmly on track to become a modern and green building material company,” Akhoury added. The company is set to uphold industry-leading performance standards through capacity utilisation, brand enhancement, cost efficiency, and intensified R&D efforts, thereby establishing new benchmarks of excellence.
