Shelf Drilling bags contract extension for Achiever jack-up rig

Shelf Drilling said that it has bagged a contract extension for the Shelf Drilling Achiever jack-up rig in the Arabian Gulf from an undisclosed client.

The extension is for a period of three years. It is in direct continuation of the present contract of the offshore drilling rig in the region.

The financial terms of the contract were not revealed by Shelf Drilling.

According to Shelf Drilling, after the contract extension, the expected availability of the Shelf Drilling Achiever jack-up rig is December 2025.

Listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, Shelf Drilling is an international shallow water offshore drilling contractor that has rig operations in the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, the Mediterranean, and West Africa.

In April 2022, Shelf Drilling won a contract extension for the High Island V jack-up rig in the Arabian Gulf.
