Sharika Enterprises gets six LOIs from IOCL for compressed biogas plants

Sharika Enterprises Limited said that it has been issued six letters of intent (LOIs) from Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for setting up compressed biogas plants under the SATAT scheme.

The compressed biogas plants are to be installed in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, said Sharika Enterprises Limited, a Noida-based engineering procurement services provider.

The SATAT scheme was launched by the Indian government in October 2018 under which public sector undertaking (PSU) oil marketing companies (OMCs) can invite expression of interest (EoI) from potential entrepreneurs to establish compressed biogas production plants and make the compressed biogas available in the market to be used in automotive fuels.

The objective of the SATAT scheme is to achieve the production of 15 MMT of compressed biogas from 5000 compressed biogas plants by the year 2023.
