Self-driving truck technology provider Plus secures $200m in new funding round

Plus (previously Plus.ai), a provider of self-driving truck technology, has raised $200 million round in a new funding round led by new investors Guotai Junan International, CPE, and Wanxiang International Investment.

The funding round also saw the participation of existing investors, that include Full Truck Alliance (FTA).

Plus said that it will use the new funds for fast tracking the commercialization and deployment of its automated trucking system across the world.

Scheduled to begin mass production this year, the self-driving truck technology provider plans to develop a sales and support network for helping fleets in integrating the Plus automated trucking system into their daily operations.

Plus also has plans to scale deployments in the US and China, and grow its business internationally to Europe and other regions in Asia.
