Schlumberger wins contract for gas drilling project from Saudi Aramco

Schlumberger said that it has bagged a major contract award from Saudi Aramco to provide integrated drilling and well construction services as part of a gas drilling project.

The American oilfield services company said that the project scope covers drilling rigs and technologies and services. These include drill bits, logging while drilling (LWD), measurement while drilling (MWD,) drilling fluids, cementing, and completing wells.

Schlumberger said that it will utilize digital solutions to boost integrated drilling performance. The solutions include the DrillOps on-target well delivery solution which employs data analysis, automation, and learning systems to execute a digital well plan, enhancing drilling efficiency, consistency, and performance.
