SberLogistics to open Class A warehouse in Voronezh, Russia
SberLogistics, a Russian logistics operator, will open a logistics hub in Voronezh Region, Russia for providing a full variety of warehouse services.
The Class A warehouse, which spans nearly 55,000m2, is located in Solnechny, Ramonsky District, said the Sber ecosystem company.
The logistics hub will accept goods from SberMegaMarket vendors, apart from providing services such as storage, processing, sorting, and further shipment to recipients.
The Class A warehouse will also house a multi-temperature zone and a licensed area for the storage of pharma products.
Phase one of the logistics hub in Voronezh Region is anticipated to be launched as soon as in early next year. It is slated to be commissioned fully in 2022.
Alexander Trapeznikov — CEO of SberLogistics said: “We are opening a new and modern logistics hub created using an individual design. Fitted with automation and digitalization systems, the warehouse will be operated by over 600 employees, which will increase the number of jobs in the region.
“On the back of more shipments, we are strengthening our infrastructure and launching additional storage facilities to ensure uninterrupted and high-quality operations of SberLogistics.
“The development of warehouse infrastructure is one of the strategic priorities for SberLogistics; therefore, our plans are to scale up the company’s logistics centers across the key cities of Russia.”
SberLogistics offers logistics services to individual as well as corporate customers in 82 regional centers and neighboring cities. These include deliveries through pickup points, cargo delivery, courier delivery, and warehouse services.
