ROMCO Equipment expands in Southwest with Sierra Machinery acquisition

ROMCO Equipment Co., a division of SMT, strengthens its position in the Southwest through the acquisition of Sierra Machinery, reinforcing its commitment to growth and long-term success. The deal, which closed on July 25, entailed the transfer of ownership of Sierra Machinery Inc. and its locations in El Paso, Texas, and Artesia, New Mexico.

Sierra Machinery, established in 1981 by Al and Maria Teran, is a leading full-service distributor of construction, mining, and industrial equipment, representing renowned names like Volvo Construction Equipment, Doosan, Gradall Excavators, Chicago Pneumatic, and more. The company’s proven excellence in the industry aligns with ROMCO’s core values.
