Riyadh Air has signed an agreement with IBM Consulting, appointing them as the lead systems integrator in building a robust technological infrastructure aimed at delivering seamless and exceptional travel experiences. This partnership is poised to elevate Riyadh Air’s operational capabilities through the integration of over 50 industry solutions and the orchestration of more than 40 partner organizations.
“Our ambition is to launch our first flight in 2025 and put Riyadh Air at the cutting edge of digital technology and innovation within the aviation industry,” stated Adam Boukadida, Chief Financial Officer of Riyadh Air. IBM Consulting is set to guide Riyadh Air towards this vision, leveraging their extensive experience in complex systems management and expertise in the travel industry.
IBM Consulting’s role extends to establishing Riyadh Air’s hybrid cloud integration platform, utilizing IBM CloudPak for Integration and Red Hat OpenShift. This platform is designed to simplify the user experience through efficient application and data connectivity tools, signifying a pivotal step in Riyadh Air’s digital strategy.
John Granger, Senior Vice President of IBM Consulting, expressed pride in helping Riyadh Air usher in a new era for Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector. “A technology foundation built with an open, hybrid cloud approach and AI can help them achieve the flexibility and agility needed to support their goal of delivering an exceptional travel experience for their guests,” he said.
