RITES Limited, AITD join forces to promote multimodal mobility

RITES Limited, a subsidiary of the Indian Railways, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with New Delhi-based Asian Institute of Transport Development (AITD) to promote multimodal mobility.

The MoU also calls for strengthening infrastructure facilities and addressing concerns pertaining to the environment.

As per the agreement, RITES and Asian Institute of Transport Development will work together for technical services. These include multimodal connectivity and consultancy assignments, sharing of knowledge, and research and development among others.

The partnership is planned to enhance infrastructure facilities and transport services. By promoting multimodal mobility solutions, the partners expect to boost the efficiency of logistics of global production and distribution, and addressing environmental concerns to develop infrastructure for the future.
