RITES and partners bag railway line project from Bangladesh Railway
A consortium led by Rail India Technical and Economic Service Limited (RITES) prevailed as the lowest bidder in a competitive bidding process held by Bangladesh Railway for the construction of a dual guage railway line project in Bangladesh.
The railway line is to be laid from Bogura to Shahid M. Mansur Ali station.
The 80km long greenfield railway line project will be executed in two phases, which includes preparation of DPR and supervision of construction.
For phase 1, the duration is 13 months, while phase 2 will take 30 months.
The dual guage railway line project is financed by Exim Bank of India under LOC.
According to RITES, the contract value will be nearly INR63 crores and its signing is likely to take place shortly.
