Reliance Jio Infocomm launches Jio True 5G services across six cities in TN

Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Jio Platforms, has launched Jio True 5G services in six more cities in Tamil Nadu (TN), which include Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Madurai, Hosur, Salem, and Vellore.

The Reliance Industries company has taken the total number of Jio True 5G cities to 101 across India.

Jio Platforms is said to have spent more than INR 40,000 crores towards the deployment of its 5G network in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The company expects to see its Jio True 5G services available in all villages and towns of Tamil Nadu by the end of this year.

A Jio spokesperson said: “Jio engineers are working round the clock to deliver True-5G to every person in TN because of the transformational power of this technology and the exponential benefits it can deliver to every person. We are grateful to the Honourable Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin and the Tamil Nadu government for extending their support in digitizing Tamil Nadu and taking it forward.”
