Reliance Industries, ADNOC to develop chemical project in TA’ZIZ

Reliance Industries Limited has signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for developing a chlor-alkali, ethylene dichloride, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production facility at TA’ZIZ in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi.

The agreement is said to tap into the increasing demand for the critical industrial raw materials and utilizes the strengths of ADNOC and Reliance Industries as global industrial and energy majors.

The chlor-alkali, ethylene dichloride, and polyvinyl chloride project will be built in the TA’ZIZ Industrial Chemicals Zone, which is a joint venture of ADNOC with ADQ.

As per the terms of the agreement, TA’ZIZ and Reliance Industries will build an integrated plant. It will have a production capacity of 940,000 tons of chlor-alkali, 1.1 million tons of ethylene dichloride, and 360 thousand tons of PVC per annum.
