Reedy Industries acquires Illinois-based Pro-Tek Mechanical

Reedy Industries, a US HVAC company, has acquired Pro-Tek Mechanical based out of Lake Zurich, Illinois, for an undisclosed price, as per an announcement made in March 2021.

The acquisition will enable Reedy Industries to grow its market share in the Chicago metropolitan region by sustaining focus on its core end markets – industrial and pharmaceutical/labs customers.

Founded in 2001, Pro-Tek Mechanical is a residential, commercial, industrial, and pharmaceutical mechanical contractor. For the pharmaceutical and lab customers, the company offers installation, maintenance, and service.

Pro-Tek Mechanical will now operate within General Mechanical, the portfolio company of Reedy Industries.

Pro-Tek Mechanical is the fourth acquisition for Reedy Industries this year. The latter had acquired 11 mechanical services firms over the last couple of years.
