Ransa merges with TCF to expand logistics capabilities in Latin America

Global alternative investment firm announced that its portfolio company, Grupo Ransa, has completed a merger with Transportes Centroamericanos del Futuro (TCF).

Ransa, a leading third-party logistics player in , operates in eight countries across 35 cities. Transportes Centroamericanos del Futuro, on the other hand, is a premier provider of land freight transportation, storage, and container repair services, serving major shipping lines in Central America, Colombia, and . It operates across 13 ports and manages over 180,000 cargo movements annually between ports, distribution centers, and warehouses.

The merger between Ransa and Transportes Centroamericanos del Futuro gives birth to a dominant end-to-end logistics platform in Latin America, covering the entire logistics chain, from port to warehouse to the end customer. This amalgamation is set to enhance the value proposition for clients across all markets, backed by the combined expertise and complementary services of both Ransa and Transportes Centroamericanos del Futuro, leading to superior service delivery.

The integrated group will operate from over 72 regional branches, serving 19 ports, and managing four million square meters of storage space. It will also control 44,000 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units and manage 340,000 cargo movements per year with a fleet of over 3,000 vehicles. The unified entity, backed by a workforce of over 9,200 employees spread across 10 countries in Latin America, is well-positioned to continue its successful operations in the region.
