Ramco Systems to deploy ERP software for Aden Container Terminal in Yemen

Ramco Systems has been selected by Aden Ports Development Company (APDC) to provide its next-gen enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for the Aden Container Terminal (ACT) in Port of Aden, Yemen.

The Indian ERP provider said that the new contract deepens its 12-year partnership with the largest container terminal in the Middle East country.

“As trends such as e-commerce are being pushed to the forefront amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we are confident that the software will enable ACT to digitally transform their operations, translating into quicker turnarounds at the port.”

Ramco Systems said that it will upgrade Aden Container Terminal’s capabilities in HR, payroll and financial accounting, and modernize and digitalize existing applications. Besides, the ERP provider will enable the container terminal to introduce newer technologies and innovations like Payroll Hub, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable hubs, and also mobile apps, with a sleeker and more inclusive dashboard.

Ramco Systems said that its HR & Payroll modules will give reporting capabilities to help the management of Aden Container Terminal in making on-the-spot decisions for payroll, bonus, attendance, and leave. On the other hand, the Financial Accounting module, on a unified dashboard, will cover items like accounts payable, accounts receivable and the general ledger.

The Indian ERP company said that the implementation of the new features will minimise manual processes and human intervention in order to enable Aden Container Terminal to cut down its paper usage.

Last month, Ramco Systems said that its Ramco Aviation M&E MRO Software V5.8 aviation software will be deployed at Iraqi Airways Company.
