Ramco Systems partners with Korean Air to elevate engine maintenance with advanced aviation software

Ramco Systems, a global leader in aviation software solutions, has announced a strategic collaboration with Korean Air, South Korea’s flagship carrier, to implement the advanced Ramco Aviation Suite at the airline’s Engine Maintenance Center. This announcement, made at MRO Americas 2024 in Chicago, marks a significant step for Korean Air as it advances in the aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) sector.

The partnership comes shortly after Korean Air revealed plans for a new engine MRO facility near Incheon International Airport in Unbuk, which is expected to be the largest engine maintenance plant in Asia. This facility aims to consolidate all engine MRO capabilities, expanding its service range to include nine engine models. The Ramco Aviation Suite is set to replace various legacy systems, streamlining operations across Korean Air’s current and future engine maintenance sites with its comprehensive MRO-specific functionalities.

With features such as Mobility via Anywhere Apps, HUBs, and Dashboards, along with seamless integrations to the ecosystem, Ramco’s solution promises to significantly enhance operational efficiency and precision at Korean Air’s Engine Maintenance Center. The implementation of this cutting-edge technology underlines Korean Air’s commitment to setting new standards in engine maintenance and reinforcing its position as a leading MRO provider.

Chan Woo Jung, Vice President and Head of Maintenance & Engineering Division at Korean Air, emphasized the airline’s ambition to build Asia’s largest engine maintenance complex and expand its servicing capabilities.
