Ram Pothineni’s Double iSmart surpasses Rs 100cr mark before hitting theatres

The highly anticipated action thriller Double iSmart, starring Ram Pothineni, Sanjay Dutt, and Kavya Thapar, has already made headlines even before its theatrical release. Directed by the acclaimed Puri Jagannadh, the film, a spiritual sequel to the 2019 Telugu blockbuster iSmart Shankar, has reportedly garnered a staggering Rs 100 crore in pre-release earnings.

Pre-Release Earnings Skyrocket

As excitement builds for its August 15 release, Double iSmart has set a new benchmark in pre-release revenue. The film’s worldwide theatrical rights were sold for an impressive Rs 60 crore. In addition to this, the audio rights fetched Rs 9 crore, while the south digital rights were secured for Rs 33 crore. The satellite rights for both Telugu and Hindi versions, along with Hindi digital rights, added another Rs 50 crore to the tally. Collectively, these deals mean that Double iSmart has already amassed approximately Rs 150 crore before hitting the cinemas.

Production and Creative Team

Double iSmart is produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmy Kaur under the banner of Puri Connects. The film is crafted on a budget estimated between Rs 45-50 crore. Renowned music composer Manisharma has provided the soundtrack, while cinematographers Gianni Giannelli and Shyam K Naidu have captured the visual essence of the film. Editing duties are handled by Karthika Srinivas.

Music and Marketing Buzz

Recently, the makers unveiled the second track from the film, titled Maar Muntha Chod Chinta. This release has received an enthusiastic response from fans, further fueling the anticipation for the film’s release.

Pan-India Release Strategy

Double iSmart is set for a pan-India release, with screenings scheduled in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. This broad release strategy aims to capture a diverse audience across multiple linguistic regions.
