Rajasthan Cylinders and Containers to close manufacturing unit in Jaipur

Rajasthan Cylinders and Containers Limited said that its board of directors has approved the proposal to close operations of its manufacturing unit in Jaipur due to unsatisfactory performance.

According to the LPG cylinders manufacturer, the Jaipur unit earned INR 11.4 crores for the year ended 31 March 2022. This is a little over half of the total income of Rajasthan Cylinders and Containers for the financial year ended 31 March 2022.

Rajasthan Cylinders and Containers said that its manufacturing unit suffered continued operational losses despite efforts to turn it around. However, it is unviable to continue operating the manufacturing plant and there is a lack of funds to run it, said the Jaipur-based company that manufactures LPG cylinders, domestic pressure regulators, and SC valves for oil marketing firms.
