RailTel Corporation wins contract from Coal India subsidiary CMPDI

RailTel Corporation of India said that it has bagged a work order worth INR 16.99 crore from the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI).

The scope of the work order is the provision of MPLS-VPN Connectivity for implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and TPASS services for HD video conferencing facility for a period of five years on a rental basis.

Headquartered in Ranchi, the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Indian government-owned Coal India Limited.

The Central Mine Planning and Design Institute is engaged in providing consultation in open pit and underground mine planning and design in coal, lignite, as well as other minerals.

On the other hand, RailTel Corporation of India is a fully-owned subsidiary of Indian Railways. The neutral telecom infrastructure provider had recently won a work order worth INR 89.09 crore from the Indian Air Force (AFNET).
