Quess Corp partners with NSDC to enhance employment opportunities in India
Quess Corp, India’s leading business services provider, has announced a pivotal partnership with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), a premier skill development organization under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is set to enhance the employability of Indian youth by leveraging the extensive networks of training providers and job seekers of both Quess and NSDC.
Under the MoU, Qjobs, a blue-collar platform of Billion Careers Private Limited (BCPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quess Corp, will collaborate with JobsX of NSDC. This integration between Qjobs and NSDC’s JobX platform will facilitate the daily listing of active job opportunities, thereby providing a wider employment spectrum for NSDC’s registered candidates. Additionally, Quess will offer various employability enhancement programs, including career counseling, courses, and tests, to candidates from the NSDC JobX platform.
Apart from job facilitation, Quess will engage with NSDC in conducting industry studies and surveys to better understand skill development and employment trends. These insights will be instrumental for employers and policymakers to align skill development programs with evolving industry requirements, enhancing employment rates.
Lohit Bhatia, President of Workforce Management at Quess Corp, commented on the partnership, stating, “This collaboration with NSDC aligns with our mission to enact meaningful change in the employment landscape.” He emphasized the objective to use technology and expertise to bridge the workforce demand-supply gap in India.
Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC and MD of NSDC International, praised the initiative, highlighting NSDC’s role in propelling employment opportunities by focusing on skill development. He mentioned the recent acknowledgment by the Hon’ble Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, about the positive shift in India’s unemployment rate.
Furthermore, Quess will assist NSDC in mobilizing local employers to participate in Job Fairs, facilitating direct interactions between candidates and employers. This initiative will help job seekers understand specific job requirements and apply for positions that match their skills and competencies.
