PSA Norway grants drilling consent to Equinor for 7220/8-2 well

The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA Norway) said that it has granted consent to Norwegian oil and gas giant Equinor Energy to spud an exploration well in Production licence 532 (PL 532) in the Barents Sea.
Equinor will use the Transocean Enabler drilling rig to drill the 7220/8-2 exploration well in the Snøfonn Nord prospect in a water depth of 350m.
The PL 532 licence was granted in 2009 and is valid up to 2049. Its stakeholders are Equinor Energy (50%), Vår Energi (30%), and Petoro AS (20%).
