PowerSchool, Samart Telcoms to enhance education technology in Thailand

PowerSchool, North America’s leading provider of cloud-based software for K-12 education, has announced a strategic partnership with Samart Telcoms Public Company Limited (PCL), signaling a further expansion of PowerSchool’s PowerPartner Program.

This collaboration aims to enhance PowerSchool’s global reach through its channel partner program while providing educational institutions in Thailand with access to PowerSchool Schoology Learning, PowerSchool SIS, and PowerSchool Enrollment.

“Partnering with Samart Telcoms PCL allows us to extend PowerSchool’s essential education technology solutions across Thailand,” stated Tony Kender, PowerSchool’s Chief Revenue Officer. He highlighted a mutual goal of equipping educators and students with technology to unlock their full potential, and expressed enthusiasm about continuing to facilitate digital transformation in education through this partnership.

The alliance with Samart Telcoms PCL will aid educators and the over 10 million students in Thailand. The partnership aims to serve more than 100,000 students across Thailand within the next year. PowerSchool’s international localization framework will enable educators nationwide to access vital tools such as PowerSchool’s leading learning management system (LMS), Schoology Learning, PowerSchool SIS, and PowerSchool Enrollment, thus further supporting educators, students, and families in achieving personalized education.

Executive Vice President of Samart Telcoms PCL, Chotika Kamloonwesaruch, expressed pride in partnering with PowerSchool, thereby extending the reach of innovative education technology solutions in Thailand.

The PowerPartner Program is a global channel partner initiative designed to use PowerSchool’s regional channel partners in supporting localized marketing, sales, and customer deployment efforts. At present, PowerSchool channel partners serve customers in regions such as The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Sub-Saharan Africa, Thailand, India, the Philippines, and Uruguay, with plans to rapidly expand the program this year.

Earlier this month, PowerSchool signed a deal worth $300 million to acquire SchoolMessenger, a provider of K-12 communication tools.
