Pitney Bowes acquires Singapore-based PaaS provider CrescoData

Pitney Bowes, a US-based shipping and mailing company, has acquired CrescoData, a Singapore-based Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider in the commerce space, in a move to expand its shipping portfolio.

The financial terms of the deal were not revealed.

CrescoData through its Commerce Connect Platform is said to offer integration to more than 85 commerce channels via a single API. It is designed to facilitate mapping as well as automation of stock, product, and order data between the platforms.

Pitney Bowes said that the investment boosts its product offerings for mid-high volume e-commerce shippers. Besides, it is said to fast track the go-to-market strategy of Pitney Bowes Enterprise Shipping and Locker for the retail and pharmacy sectors.
