Petrofac wins $80m contract extension in Iraq

Oilfield services provider Petrofac said that its engineering and production services unit has bagged a one-year contract extension worth nearly $80 million with an undisclosed client in Iraq.

Petrofac claimed that the contract extension is based on its eight-year track record of safe delivery as the incumbent provider of operations and maintenance services.

The facility which the oilfield services provider will continue to manage is said to be among the largest in the Gulf and handles nearly 55% of the crude oil exports of Iraq.
