Pepsi Bottling Ventures to install new $35m bottling line in Winston-Salem
Pepsi Bottling Ventures (PBV) will invest $35 million in installing a new bottling line at its production facility in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Construction of the new bottling line is slated to begin next year and is likely to begin operations by the end of 2024.
Pepsi Bottling Ventures is a joint venture of Japan-based Suntory Group and PepsiCo, and is a manufacturer, seller, and distributor of the American soft drinks giant’s beverages in North America.
According to Pepsi Bottling Ventures, the new bottling line will boost efficiencies in its manufacturing operations by streamlining production capacity for some of the largest growing brands of the bottler, which include Lipton Tea and Aquafina, and the company’s owned brand Nature’s Twist.
Derek Hill — Pepsi Bottling Ventures President and CEO said: “This investment is a promise to our customers and consumers that we will continue to meet their beverage needs and demonstrates our long-term commitment to the region and the State of North Carolina.
“We’re excited about the opportunities that this new line will afford us as we focus on innovation and improving efficiencies. This investment allows us to continue operating at our best and ensures stable and well-paying jobs for years to come.”
The new bottling line in Winston-Salem is expected to produce millions of cases of beverages each year and can manufacture bottles prepared from 100% recycled material.
Matthew Bucherati — Pepsi Bottling Ventures Senior Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain said: “Staying connected to the needs of our customers and consumers is at the forefront of how PBV runs its operations.
“Running our operations responsibly and sustainably is paramount. This new line incorporates the latest bottling technology, allowing us to keep up with demand while remaining good stewards in communities where we operate.
“I’m very proud of this investment and what we’re able to deliver to our customers and consumers.”
