Pepperfry secures ISO certifications for Mumbai fulfilment centre

Indian online furniture store Pepperfry has secured International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification for its fulfilment centre in Mumbai, which was bestowed upon by international certification agency Bureau Veritas.

Pepperfry claims that its Mumbai fulfilment centre is now the first warehouse in India to be ISO certified with three critical certifications and also the first in the furniture and home segment in the country to get the accreditation.

The 2,85,000 sq. ft warehouse located in Padgha, Bhiwandi is equipped with automation and material handling capabilities. Included in these are G+7 racking systems, multistory fetching reach trucks and battery operated trucks.

According to Pepperfry, its specialized large item delivery fleet, comprising 350+ vehicles operating from 19 hubs in India, caters to customers in 500 plus cities.

The Indian online furniture store said that through its investments in supply chain, it has grown scale and operating efficiencies while bringing down per unit shipping cost with international class service levels at negligible damage rates in a complex segment like furniture.

Pepperfry believes that the ISO certification for its fulfilment centre in Mumbai will add to further its existing worldwide recognition and consumer reliance by standardizing its practices.
