Patel Engineering Limited, a leading civil construction company specializing in hydropower and irrigation, has received a letter of award for an Urban Infrastructure Development Project worth Rs. 1,275.30 crores. The prestigious contract, aimed at bolstering Madhya Pradesh’s water supply infrastructure, was secured in partnership with a JV partner and comes from Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam. Earlier, the company was declared as the L1 bidder for the project.

The awarded contract encompasses engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, trial run, and a 10-year operation & maintenance period. All of these elements are part of the Narmada-Gambhir Multi-Village Drinking Water Supply Scheme, located in the districts of Ujjain & Indore in Madhya Pradesh. The project is designed to be executed on a ‘Turn-key Job Basis,’ consolidating multiple responsibilities into a single package.
Timelines Set: 24-Month Completion and 10-Year Maintenance Period
The Narmada-Gambhir water supply scheme, awarded to Patel Engineering and its JV partner, is slated for completion within 24 months. Following the completion, Patel Engineering will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the entire scheme for a period of 10 years, underlining the company’s long-term commitment to the project.
