Palo Seco Power Plant : New Fortress Energy to supply 150MW capacity to Puerto Rico

New Fortress Energy said that NFE Power PR and NFEnergia, the company’s Puerto Rico subsidiaries, have signed agreements with Weston Solution to install and operate 150MW of additional electricity generation at the Palo Seco Power Plant in Puerto Rico along with the supply of natural gas.

Weston Solution has secured a task order for supplying the temporary power generation for underpinning Puerto Rico’s overall mission of grid stabilization at the Palo Seco Power Plant under its Omaha Rapid Disaster Infrastructure contract from the US Army Corps of Engineers.

New Fortress Energy said that 150MW of dual-fuel generators are anticipated to facilitate maintenance and repair work of the power system and grid of Puerto Rico.
