ONGC, Equinor to work together on oil and gas, clean energy options

Indian state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Norwegian oil and gas giant Equinor to collaborate on exploration and production (E&P), clean energy, midstream, downstream, and clean energy options.

The parties will also work together on carbon capture utilization and sequestration (CCUS).

The MoU will be applicable for two years under which both ONGC and Equinor agreed to collaborate in the areas identified.

It was signed during the visit of a Norwegian delegation to India. The program was carried out under the presence of the Indian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt, ONGC CMD Dr Alka Mittal and Equinor Executive Vice President Irene Rummelhoff.
