OMNI Systems opens state-of-the-art Print Center of Excellence in St. Charles

OMNI Systems, the largest privately-owned label manufacturer in the U.S., has inaugurated its new Print Center of Excellence in St. Charles, located at 411 Fountain Lakes Blvd. The 64,000-square-foot facility represents a significant expansion, nearly quadrupling the company’s geographical footprint. OMNI Systems expects this development to create 50-100 new jobs in the greater St. Charles area over the next several years.

Enhancing Label Production Capabilities

The new Print Center of Excellence will focus on the production of custom printed labels for the consumer-packaged goods industry on a national scale. The facility has undergone extensive renovations to include state-of-the-art labeling capabilities, expansive floor space, and is designed with flexibility for future expansions.

Innovative Technologies and Production Expansion

Since acquiring ITW Labels in April 2023, the facility has expanded to three times its original size and incorporated advanced technologies such as Reverse Print Technology and an in-house plate-making department. “Our inventory management solutions include 10-color UV & Flexo Digital Mark Andy Presses, capable of handling labels up to 20-inches-wide,” added Dean Ketchum, Business Development Manager at OMNI Systems. “We are aiming to operate three shifts soon, which will significantly enhance our production capacity and enable us to meet the increasing demands of our customers.”

Community Engagement and Recognition

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 11 was attended by notable local figures including Mayor Dan Borgmeyer and St. Charles Regional Chamber President and CEO Scott Tate. In a show of community integration and support, Mayor Borgmeyer presented Mike Murton with keys to the city during the event.
