Odfjell Drilling gets contract extension for Deepsea Nordkapp from Aker BP

Odfjell Drilling has secured a contract extension worth around $60 million for the drilling of two more from Norwegian upstream company Aker BP with the Deepsea Nordkapp rig.

According to Odfjell Drilling, the estimated duration of the drilling contract is around six months. Additionally, the Scotland-based oilfield service provider will be entitled to a performance bonus.

The newly exercised wells for Aker BP will begin in direct continuation of the existing firm contract period and will see the Deepsea Nordkapp semi-submersible drilling rig engaged till late Q3 2024.
