NTPC Renewable Energy to build 10GW renewable energy park in Rajasthan

NTPC Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of Indian state-owned NTPC, has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government for developing 10GW ultra mega renewable energy power parks (UMREPP) in the state.

The MoU is in line with NTPC Group’s target of achieving a renewable energy capacity of 60GW by 2032.

NTPC Renewable Energy is said to have bagged 4GW renewable energy capacity within two years of its inception. The capacity has been won through bidding in multiple tenders which are under various stages of implementation.

In addition to that, the NTPC subsidiary is developing a 4.75GW renewable energy park in Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. Besides, it signed a joint venture agreement in March 2022 with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for developing renewable energy parks and projects.
